Proximitor

The Bently Nevada Proximitor is a vibration measurement device used in industrial applications to monitor the health of rotating machinery such as turbines, compressors, and pumps.  It is designed to measure the displacement, velocity, and acceleration of a machine's moving parts and provide real-time data to operators and maintenance personnel.
The Proximitor uses eddy current technology to detect changes in the magnetic field generated by a metallic target.  It consists of a probe, extension cable, and a signal conditioner.  The probe is mounted near the rotating machinery and detects the movement of the machine's shaft.  The extension cable connects the probe to the signal conditioner, which amplifies and filters the signal before sending it to a control system or data acquisition device.
The Proximitor is capable of measuring displacement within a range of 0.5 to 2.5 millimeters and velocity within a range of 0.5 to 25 millimeters per second.  It can also measure acceleration within a range of 0.5 to 25 g's.  The device is highly accurate and reliable, with a measurement resolution of 0.001 millimeters.
